Poisonous Plants To Keep Away From Pets

Recently ProFlowers.com contacted me about an infographic they have on their website which lists nearly 200 poisonous plants, how toxic they are, which parts or toxic, and which species to keep away from them.  Honestly, this is one of the best summaries I've ever seen, so I'm sharing it here.  Please pass this around to your friends and other pet owners.  If you're having a hard time viewing it, click on the original link above.

  1. I have had lots of dogs and cats during my life and as a person who lives in a rural area. I have never known of of any of my animals to go near plants that are harmful to them because they all have a natural instinct of knowing what is harmful. Perhaps there is a difference between European animals and those of the U.S. but I don't think so do you ?

    1. Animals definitely DO NOT have an instinct to stay away from harmful plants or circumstances. If that was the case we would never have to worry about toxicities or injuries in animals. Unfortunately both domesticated and wild animals will sometimes eat toxic plants and become very ill or die.
